Bayern will need to be brave at Bernabeu - Tuchel
Tuchel urges Bayern to be 'brave' in Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid
Bayern Munich are one of five clubs to have won all three of UEFAs main club competitions - the only German club to achieve that.
Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel believes his team will need to be "brave" when they face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The two sides will meet at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, April 26, in the first leg of their last-eight tie.
Tuchel is aware of the challenge that his team will face against the reigning European champions, but he is confident that Bayern can get a good result if they play to their strengths.
"We need to be brave," Tuchel said. "We need to play our own game and not be afraid of Real Madrid.
"We know that they are a great team, but we also know that we have the quality to beat them.
"We are going to go into the game with a lot of confidence and we are going to try to get a good result."
Bayern Munich are one of the most successful clubs in European football, having won the Champions League five times.
However, they have not been able to win the trophy since 2013, and they will be determined to end that drought this season.
Real Madrid are also a formidable opponent, having won the Champions League three times in the last four years.
The Spanish giants will be looking to defend their title, and they will be confident of beating Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu.
The first leg of the quarter-final tie is sure to be a close and exciting affair, and it could have a big impact on the outcome of the competition.
