Browns 2023 Draft Class: Breaking Down the Top Recruits

A Deeper Dive into the Browns' Draft Choices

On April 28, 2023, the Cleveland Browns announced their highly anticipated draft class for the upcoming season. With eight picks in total, including a third-round pick acquired from the New York Jets, the Browns focused on bolstering both their offense and defense.

Cedric Tillman: A Dynamic Wide Receiver

With their third-round pick, the Browns selected wide receiver Cedric Tillman from the University of Tennessee. Tillman, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver, has impressed scouts with his exceptional hands, route running, and ability to make contested catches.

In his junior season, Tillman caught 64 passes for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns, establishing himself as one of the top wide receivers in college football. His size and physicality make him an ideal target for quarterback Deshaun Watson, and the Browns hope he can provide a much-needed boost to their passing attack.

Siaki Ika: A Force in the Defensive Trenches

In the fourth round, the Browns addressed their defensive line by drafting defensive tackle Siaki Ika from Baylor University. Ika, a massive 6-foot-4, 358-pound interior lineman, is known for his strength and ability to disrupt opposing offenses.

In his senior season, Ika recorded 33 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. His size and power will provide the Browns with a formidable presence in the middle of their defense, helping to create pressure on opposing quarterbacks and stop the run.
